Commissioned by Brandt as a showpiece, The Monolith was carved from a single block of solid marble. For this project, “Elephant White” marble was chosen for its dramatic lightning-like veins on a thunder grey background. Sourced from China, considerable time was spent finding the perfect block to work from. The Monolith greets you with raw elegance and clean lines - its dramatic veining telling a story shaped over millions of years. More than an exclusive centrepiece, The Monolith is a natural work of art - timeless and monumental.

Considerable time was spent finding the perfect block to work from. For this project, “Elephant White” marble was chosen for its dramatic lightning-like veins on a thunder grey background.
Elephant White is a metamorphic stone composed mainly of calcite crystals, found mainly in China. Its base ranges from pristine white to cloudy grey, with larger fields of blue grey, with intricate grey and brown veining that adds depth and character.

Crafted with precision
Vertical cuts run through The Monolith, giving the illusion of four assembled parts - yet it is carved from a single, solid block of stone.
